I find this arrogant. Production ended almost two years ago. Why advertise something you can't get? Would you find it right if a Honda commercial would show the NSX in it as if it was still selling it? Am I the only one who thinks this is ridiculous?

THEY HAD A FUCKING LFA AT THE NYIAS!!!!!

eh. it's definitely disingenuous, but all of the decisions you're seeing in the f-sport line were pioneered by the lfa so i see why it's happening from an engineering and marketing standpoint.
the real answer here though is that they need to build more lfas and build an affordable gtr fighter baby lfa

because the technology and skills they developed while working on the LFA have started to trickle down into their regular vehicles?

I love that car, and I would buy one if I could, but I don't understand it either. Yes, it is part of the "F" branding, but you can't get one new. I don't think it would be right if Porsche was showing the Carrera GT in a 918 or 911 commercial.

There are still quite a few unsold LFAs at Lexus dealers for sticker price.

tell me where so i can go there, sit in it and make vroomy noises

maybe a 918 commercial, but only in a way that shows that the carrera gt is the predecessor to the 918

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Lexus have to approve of your coolness status before they'd even sell one to you even if you had enough money to buy one? Even then they're over priced considering what you're actually getting.

F Sport trimzzz gett daaaa ladies yo, you see dem honies that bro be brining home??
But I guess it's like the LFA is the spirit of the F sport trim, I thought the same thing on first view as well. Toyota will do anything to get people who don't were depends into their luxe lots.

I saw an NSX on the way home this evening. It was beautiful. The end.

Because why do you think? Lexus cars are sorta lame. And the LFA is the least lame Lexus ever. Even though they only hand build three of them for a period of about ten seconds. So it barely even existed at all. You're just as likely to see a unicorn in the wild as you would to see an LFA on the road.
So since Toyota created this mythical thing, and you'd better believe that they are going to get as much shelf life out of it for as long as possible.

Hmm. Reading your comment, it seems "Ferrari" should be in place of "Lexus".

The LFA only exists as (a hell of) an image booster. Besides, cars that expensive aren't advertised on TV. Think of it more like parking those Lexii next to a racecar, except more relevant.

Lexus is just trying to show off. It's not like 80% of Lexus customers can't buy it or anything.

I was thinking the same thing!

I hate that commercial so much. My mom was like "what's it for?" and didn't get it.
And THE ONLY ONE THAT LOOKS GOOD IS THE SUPERCAR THEY NO LONGER MAKE!
